Montgomery lawyer faces nearly 100 charges for voyeurism, including a minor
The case began inside the accused's own family
A local lawyer now stands accused of secretly filming women and a teenage girl in a case that has shocked his community.
Matthew Currie, a licensed attorney, faces nearly 100 criminal charges after a Montgomery County grand jury indicted him on Tuesday, according to WHIO.
Prosecutors charged Currie with 49 counts linked to the illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, 40 counts of voyeurism, and two additional related offences.
The case began inside Currie’s own family. A relative reportedly discovered disturbing, voyeuristic videos on his phone and alerted authorities.
That tip triggered a police investigation and a search warrant for Currie and his electronic devices.
Prosecutors allege Currie stalked a 17-year-old Oakwood High School student and filmed her multiple times while she was nude inside her bedroom, shooting the videos through her window.
