Elle Fanning promises glamorous Effie Trinket moments in new 'Hunger Games'

Elle Fanning, loved up Hollywood star, has sent fans frenzy after sharing a carousal of selfies dressed as Effie Trinket on the set of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

The 27-year-old actress revealed taking “a lot of selfies” while filming the highly anticipated prequel, crediting the franchise’s elaborate costumes.

Speaking exclusively to People at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards on January 3, the Great actress said her connection to The Hunger Games runs deep.

“I love Panem,” she shared, calling herself an original fan of the films. “They’re very comforting to me… I love the movies.”

In addition, Fanning added that stepping into the dystopian universe and into Effie’s famously polished aesthetic was a pinnacle of the experience.

“That world is so great. The acting is so great. And I got a little taste of some good costumes,” she said, hinting at the collection of behind-the-scenes photos now sitting on her phone.

For the unversed, Sunrise on the Reaping will be the franchise’s second prequel, following 2023’s The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Elle Fanning will portray the younger version of Effie Trinket, a role originally made iconic by Elizabeth Banks in the original film series.
