One of the horrifying events has occurred on December 30th, where a murder of an Ohio dentist and his wife took place and police have taken a suspect in custody.

Michael David McKee, a Chicago doctor, 39, and ex-husband of one of the women was arrested after police trailed a car he was suspected to have been driving in Columbus area when Dr. Spencer Tepe and Monique Tepe were killed.

The surveillance footage was important in making McKee a suspect, the authorities said.

The bodies of the couple were found in their home in Weinland Park by the officers who were doing a welfare check due to the fact that Spencer had not reported to work. Both of the victims were apparently shot and their two little children were discovered unharmed at the scene, according to the police.

As of court records, McKee has been charged with murder two counts to begin with and the charges have since been brought up to premeditated aggravated murder.

He was in an Illinois court where he waived his entitlement to an extradition hearing and is supposed to be handed over to Franklin County, Ohio, to undergo prosecution.

A motive is yet to be publicly revealed by the officials and evidence is still being brought together with the case proceeding.

Family members said that the arrest was a major step toward justice when they were grieving the sudden and tragic death of the couple.
