Spotify Premium prices are poised to surge again in the United States, marking the third increase since 2023.

The Sweden-based platform shared that subscribers in the US, Estonia, and Latvia will receive notifications regarding the new pricing within the next month.

For US residents, the Individual Premium plan will rise from $11.99 to $12.99 at the next billing time.

Student plans will adjust from $5.99 to $6.99. Plans like Duo and Family will experience a more significant rise, with Duo shifting from $16.99 to $18.99, and Family from $19.99 to $21.99.

These changes apply to the US, but users in Estonia and Latvia can check the recent prices on Spotify’s website.

In their announcement, Spotify mentioned that price adjustments across markets are necessary to reflect the value provided.

“Occasional updates to pricing across our markets reflect the value that Spotify delivers, enabling us to continue offering the best possible experience and benefit artists,” Spotify said in its announcement.

In the emails to subscribers, they explain that prices are going up “to keep delivering a fantastic experience.”

For the unversed, Spotify last raised US prices in June 2024, and in other markets in August 2025, with several AI-driven features and eagerly anticipated lossless audio support being introduced since then.

This recent increase might be disappointing to those who recall the dozen years when Spotify maintained its original pricing.
