Tom Brady makes shocking confession ahead of Flag Football debut
The NFL star says he feels 'pretty good' physically, but not fully sure about the game
Tom Brady has geared up for a new challenge, but even the seven-time Super Bowl champion admits he may have overdone the preparation.
The 48-year-old former NFL star revealed he’s been “in the gym too much” as he prepares to make his flag football debut at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in March.
While Brady has stayed disciplined with workouts, he said he needs more time on the field now.
“The problem is I’ve probably been in the gym too much, but I’ve had less time on the field,” Brady told People, adding, “I need to spend more time out there getting ready.”
Physically, Brady said he felt “pretty good,” but game readiness is another story.
“I haven’t got hit in a long time,” he said, adding, “I’ve gotta throw a little bit more to get my arm ready, but I think it’s going to go pretty good.”
Away from football, Brady says life hasn’t slowed down since retirement. Now working as a sports analyst, he admits he’s “busier than ever” while still prioritizing fatherhood.
“I’ve got a lot of things that keep me busy, but I’m still trying to be a great dad,” Brady told Page Six, referring to his three children, Jack, 17, Benjamin, 15, and Vivian, 12.
