Hailee Steinfeld couldn't wait to share 'this 'moment with husband

Hailee Steinfeld has revealed a Golden Globes encounter that caught her completely off guard and left her eager to share the moment with her husband, Josh Allen.

The Sinners star detailed the unexpected interaction in her weekly newsletter, Beau Society, recalling a red carpet run-in with Adam Sandler at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards on January 11.

While reflecting on the night which included slipping into a Prada gown and reconnecting with longtime friends Steinfeld said Sandler personally waved her down near the entrance.

“For context, Adam Sandler is a permanent fixture in our house,” she wrote, noting that his films are a regular staple at home. “The other night it was Just Go With It.”

The moment carried extra meaning. Steinfeld revealed that Sandler had even inspired past Halloween costumes she shared with Allen, including a throwback look as The Waterboy characters Bobby Boucher and Vicki Vallencourt.

“So when Adam Sandler waved me down and said, ‘Hey buddy! I loved Sinners! You’re doing amazing. And congrats to Josh!’ — I could not wait to tell my husband,” she shared.

The actress linked the memory to an October 2025 newsletter entry featuring photos from past Halloweens, including the couple’s Waterboy tribute.

Steinfeld and Allen, who made their relationship public in July 2024 and married in May 2025, are currently expecting their first child.

The couple announced the pregnancy in December, sharing a snowy video in which Allen kissed Steinfeld’s baby bump.
