A$AP Rocky shares sweet details about fatherhood with Rihanna

Being a dad is always one of A$AP Rocky’s top passions. During a recent episode of The New York Times Popcast, the 37-year-old artist, known for "Helicopter," who has three children with Rihanna, delved into the distinct personalities of his little ones.

“You know, my first son, RZA, he's just really like, he's [the] opposite of his brother, the 3-year-old and the 2-year-old.

"They're about 14 months apart. So, they're really close, but he's really antisocial,” he expressed in the January 16 discussion.

A$AP Rocky and the Fenty Beauty icon, who are both 37, have sons RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and a daughter, Rocki, born in September 2025.

“And my second son is just a socialite at this point, you know? He wants to steal the room when he comes, and he walks in it, and he's addicted to cotton candy, and... he likes... typical little kid stuff,” he shared about Riot.

The Highest 2 Lowest actor continued, saying his “first son never ate candy a day in his life and hates it.”

Hosts Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli lightheartedly mentioned to A$AP Rocky that he parents a "monk" child alongside a "superstar" toddler, before shifting attention to his young daughter.

Baby Rocki man, she's something, you know she's 4 months. She's 4 months on the 13th,” commented the "Praise the Lord" musician about his newest baby.

“And she looks exactly identical to me. My twin, bro,” he noted with pride.

Before she was born, he recounted enjoying life with just his "two sons" being "exciting," jokingly referring to themselves as their personal "He-Man Women Haters Club."

“Like, here we go. I'm with the little rascals, man,” he reflected, a playful nod to the 1994 movie. “And then baby Rocki came in, and just kind of took over the whole household.”

A$AP Rocky shared that his daughter is “very talkative at 4 months.” She also “likes to giggle and smile.”

When asked about parental roles of being "loose" or "strict," the conclusion was evident.

“None of us have to be. We are cool a-- parents,” shared A$AP Rocky, who feels "relatively young."

He touched on encouraging his children to explore their preferences, stating that although he's a vegetarian, he lets his kids enjoy their "carnivore" choices.

“They eat whatever they want. I got to let them be themselves,” he explained.

A$AP Rocky also shared moments he is excited about, such as guiding his sons with “how to throw footballs and slapbox each other without hurting each other.”

“I always said to myself, like, ‘Yo, if I ever become a dad, like, I'mma be the coolest dad.’ And I think that's — being a dad made me cooler,” he enthused. “My swag is up, bro."
