Harry Styles drops 'Aperture': First single in three years
Artist behind 'Matilda' is set for 30 performances at New York City's Madison Square Garden
Harry Styles is making a comeback with his new release after nearly a three-year break.
On Thursday (January 22), the As It Was singer unveiled "Aperture," a dreamy and rhythmic love track, marking it as the premiere single from his upcoming fourth album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.
"It's best you know, What you don't, Aperture lets the light in," Styles, 31, sings on the track, in reference to a camera's aperture, which controls how much of an image is visible to the photographer and affects the brightness and depth of field of the image.
"We belong together, It finally appears it's only love,"Styles, sings on the chorus of the song over a bouncing electronic beat produced by Kid Harpoon, who also co-produced Styles' 2022 hit "As It Was."
Styles posted a picture of himself with under-eye patches while having a Big Gulp on Instagram Thursday to commemorate the song's release. "Aperture. Now Available. Video at 17:00 UK." was his simple caption.
On Tuesday (January 20), Styles teased the imminent release of "Aperture" on Instagram by showcasing a joyful photo of himself in the studio with arms stretched in triumph.
Earlier on January 22, Styles unveiled a seven-city residency named Together, Together sponsored by Live Nation.
This tour will have 50 dates in cities like Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, New York, Melbourne, and Sydney from May to December.
