Elon Musk and former partner Grimes disagree over children’s screen time
Grimes prefers to limit screen time, whereas Elon is 'fine' about it
Grimes and Elon Musk reportedly have differing views on screen time for their children.
The 37-year-old singer, whose real name is Claire Boucher, shares three children with the SpaceX CEO.
Grimes admits there is a “huge debate” over their exposure to tablets and other devices. While she prefers to limit screen time, Musk is reportedly “fine” with it.
“If it happens we focus on great art and ideally slower stuff like Ghibli that isn’t constantly changing context,” Grimes wrote on X, emphasizing her desire for mindful media consumption.
She rarely discusses her children publicly, but praised their “pure aura,” revealing one of them formed an “unusual” bond with a flock of crows.
“Might be biased but this seems unusual,” she added, noting her father also keeps an “allegiant flock of crows.”
Grimes previously expressed concern about the public exposure of her children.
Last year, she wrote, “I unfortunately do not control the internet and cannot wipe this from the internet… The state of my children’s lives being public is of grave concern to me.”
In December, she alleged that Musk, who has 14 children in total, had blocked her on X.
“He followed me then blocked me. I’m not interested in public dramatics. My only priority is co-parenting,” she said.
