Texas influencer arrested for alleged on-video child assault
Texas law enforcement has detained a 40-year-old man
Texas law enforcement has detained a 40-year-old man, distinguished as a car influencer in the community, accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
According to a post by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on Facebook, officers responded to a residence in Porter, Texas, on January 16 as part of a probe into the sexual abuse of a young child.
SVU detectives subsequently acquired video evidence showing the sexual abuse of a 2-year-old. The authorities identified the accused as Victor L. Corey Paillet III, aged 40.
Speaking with local media, the victim's mother, choosing to remain anonymous to protect her child's identity, explained her actions after finding footage on her boyfriend Paillet's phone.
"I've never looked through his phone earlier, never, but it was right there, and I just had this strong feeling," she explained to KPRC 2 as she described discovering the upsetting content.
She mentioned to ABC 13, "That video keeps replaying in my mind," expressing her distress. "I can hardly rest or stop the tears."
The MCSO explained that Paillet faces charges of promoting child pornography and sexual assault of a child, both classified as first-degree felonies. He remains held in the Montgomery County Jail without bail.
Garnering a significant audience on platforms such as Instagram, where he is known as "Kandy Red Bread," Paillet creates videos about vehicle customisation with themes specific to Houston, boasting over 62,000 followers.
As reported by ABC13, the victim's mother is considering relocating from the home where the traumatic event took place. "Returning to that place where this occurred isn't an option," she conveyed.
Reflecting on her daughter's behaviour change, the mother remarked, "She's been crying incessantly; we both clearly need professional help. We intend to seek it."
She questioned, "She's just a young child — how could anyone do this to a baby? How could this happen to me and her?"
KPRC 2 later noted that for safety reasons, officials placed Paillet on "modified safety watch" following concerns that he might cause harm to himself.
