King Charles has shared his pride as his charity, "The King's Trust," marks fifty years of changing the lives of underprivileged youth across the United Kingdom.

Founded originally as The Prince's Trust, Charles launched the charity in 1976 with the goal of aiding at-risk young individuals to overcome challenges, gain employment, or start their own businesses.

In a video message celebrating this significant anniversary, the monarch stated: "Throughout the past 50 years, my trust's work has demonstrated without a doubt that empowering young people through personal growth and building self-confidence and self-esteem can have a profound impact and change lives."

The organisation was established during a challenging period marked by high unemployment, rising inflation, and widespread social unrest in Britain.

Charles utilised his £7,400 severance pay from the Royal Navy to start the initiative, channeling the money into various community projects aimed at helping young people in need.

What began as a small effort has now evolved into one of Britain's leading youth organizations, with research showing the trust has generated at least £11.4 billion in societal value over its fifty years of existence.

An impact report called 50 Years Of Working For Young People is set to be released next week.

The trust has had a significant impact, helping more than 1.3 million young people since it began.

Additionally, around 92,000 people across the UK have been aided in starting their own businesses through the charity's initiatives.

The organisation has an impressive roster of celebrity ambassadors who support its cause, including former England football manager Sir Gareth Southgate and TV hosts Ant and Dec.
