Kylie Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian have perfectly recreated a legendary Hollywood snapshot.
The sisters took to Instagram to reenact the famous 1957 photo of Sofia Loren side-eyeing Jayne Mansfield at a Hollywood party, with Jenner in Loren’s iconic black dress and Kardashian in Mansfield’s plunging white silk ensemble and blonde wig.
The playful recreation promotes their new Lemme x Kylie Cosmetics campaign. Kardashian captioned the post, “Been dreaming this one up with @kyliejenner for a while @Lemme x @Kyliecosmetics Skin Glaze Gummies launch exclusively at @ultabeauty tomorrow!!”
The original photo has inspired countless tributes over the years, including versions by Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen in 2014 and Sydney Sweeney and Maude Apatow in 2021.
As Jayne Mansfield biographer Eve Golden explained, the 1957 shot was far from accidental, “She sauntered over and plumped herself right down next to Sophia Loren. Jane knew exactly what she was doing.”
