Princess Kate shares personal message after private art visit
The outing showcases the Princess's ongoing focus on the therapeutic benefits of nature
The Princess of Wales has shared a personal note following a previously undisclosed visit to Winchester, where she quietly attended an art exhibition celebrating creativity, nature, and community.
Kate paid a private visit to Beauty of the Earth: The Art of May, Jane and William Morris at The Arc, an exhibition that has been open to the public since November and runs until early February.
A short video shared on Instagram shows the Princess being guided through the space and admiring the artwork, dressed in a chocolate-toned coat and orange scarf.
In a signed message, Kate thanked the team behind the exhibition, writing: “It was inspiring to see how they have placed creativity at the heart of the community and made art widely accessible.
The Beauty of the Earth was a powerful reminder of the connection between nature, creativity and craft. C.”
The Arc later said it was “honoured” to welcome the Princess, noting the exhibition highlights the artistic legacy of the Morris family, with special recognition of May and Jane Morris alongside William Morris.
The visit followed a busy week of public engagements for Kate. Earlier, she travelled to the Peak District to join a charity walk with Mind Over Mountains, which provides professional mental health support through outdoor therapy, braving high winds caused by Storm Chandra.
The outing reflected the Princess’s continued emphasis on the healing power of nature.
In recent months, she has spoken openly about how spending time outdoors helped her find balance and peace while recovering from cancer, describing nature as a place of “reconnection” in an otherwise demanding world.
