A volunteer who accompanied the Princess of Wales on a brief hike in the Peak District this week has shared her thoughts on the "incredible experience" she had.

The princess spent time with Mind Over Mountains, an organization that provides professional mental health support through outdoor activities.

The organisation aims to unite people through nature, mindfulness, and interactions with skilled wellbeing coaches and counselors.

Anjali Selva-Kumar participated in the walk with the princess and reflected on her experience, stating: "Taking part in the Mind Over Mountains walk with the princess, while being surrounded by nature, was an incredible experience.

"Leaving the city and immersing myself in nature highlighted how much stress and mental clutter I carry daily.

"Putting down my phone and enjoying the peace allowed me to slow down, be truly present, and observe the world around me in a new light.

"I left feeling more relaxed, re-balanced, and with a renewed appreciation for the importance of creating space for silence and connection,” she shared with the Wimbledon Guardian.

Ms. Selva-Kumar has been involved in the charity’s initiatives as a participant, volunteer, and now as part of their team.

During the walk, she spoke with the princess about her involvement with the charity and its impact on her life.

Mind Over Mountains is the only organisation in the UK that combines guided outdoor experiences with professional therapeutic assistance.

Since its establishment in 2020, it has aided over 1,000 individuals, with a particular focus on supporting emergency service workers.
