Dawn DaLuise whereabouts: The esthetician's life after false murder plot accusation
Dawn DaLuise was once celebrated as one of most sought-after estheticians in Hollywood
Ten years ago, Dawn DaLuise was celebrated as one of the most sought-after estheticians in Hollywood.
However, in 2014, her world was turned upside down when she was arrested and accused of planning to kill a competitor.
This case gained national attention as it unfolded, with a shocking twist revealing she had been set up, leading to her acquittal after spending 10 months in jail.
Since then, DaLuise has been working to rebuild her life, dealing with significant health challenges and ongoing legal issues.
In 2024, she was thrust back into the public eye when a new Hollywood film — Skincare starring Elizabeth Banks — rekindled interest in her story.
Her experience is now the focus of two episodes of ID's The Curious Case Of..., the first of which premiered on January 26, 2026. The follow-up episode airs on February 2.
Before her arrest, DaLuise was a prominent figure in the West Hollywood beauty scene.
She operated the Dawn DaLuise Skin Refinery, where she provided her unique Galvanic Electrical Muscular Stimulation facial and offered a line of self-branded products that garnered attention in Vogue, InStyle, and Vanity Fair, as noted by Los Angeles Magazine.
Her salon welcomed many famous faces, including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Brad Pitt, Alicia Silverstone, Michelle Trachtenberg, Christina Ricci and Sarah Michelle Gellar, as her website detailed.
In 2013, DaLuise recounted to Los Angeles Magazine that she began receiving threatening messages from an anonymous stalker.
She alleged her tires were slashed, she received menacing text messages, and at one point, strangers began arriving at her home late at night because someone posted a false Craigslist ad claiming she was seeking casual encounters using her real name and address.
DaLuise informed the authorities about these incidents, but due to a lack of concrete evidence, no arrests were made according to the magazine.
Initially, DaLuise suspected the harassment stemmed from a local business owner, Gabriel Suarez.
However, it was later discovered that Nick Prugo and Edward Feinstein, both clients, were behind it.
In March 2014, DaLuise was taken into custody, accused of attempting to hire someone to eliminate a nearby business rival.
Prosecutors claimed she asked former NFL player Chris Geile to target Suarez, who owned a new West Hollywood skincare salon she believed was affecting her business. She faced two felony charges, including solicitation of murder.
DaLuise was imprisoned for 10 months while awaiting trial. During the trial, Geile testified that he offered emotional support to DaLuise, but he never took her intentions as soliciting murder.
DaLuise returned to the public conversation in 2024 due to the movie Skincare, a thriller featuring Banks as an esthetician whose rivalry takes a dangerous turn.
