Jams and candles from As Ever brand left in Netflix storage rooms
Storage rooms were found to contain jars of jam, candles, and wine from the As Ever range
Staff at Netflix’s Los Angeles headquarters are reportedly being treated to a bounty of free products from Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever.
According to insiders, two storage rooms at the streamer’s Hollywood campus have been filled with excess inventory, including jars of jam, luxury candles, wine, and flower petal sprinkles.
Employees have allegedly been seen leaving the Icon and Epic buildings with multiple items after being told they could take the products home.
One insider claimed there is a significant amount of "overstock" being distributed internally. However, a separate source clarified that the bulk of the brand's main inventory has already been moved to an external warehouse.
They suggested that the items remaining on-site were specifically earmarked for gifting and promotional purposes, which is why they are now being offered to staffers.
This distribution follows a wave of scrutiny last month when a technical glitch on the brand’s website appeared to show hundreds of thousands of unsold items.
Although Markle’s team denied that the business was struggling, the brand—originally named American Riviera Orchard—has faced a series of challenges.
These include trademark hurdles and the reported conclusion of Meghan’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which has not been renewed for a third season.
With products ranging from £11 ($14) jams to £70 ($89) bottles of wine, the high-end gift sets are now finding their way into the homes of production staff rather than the hands of paying customers.
