Princess Kate shares update on Prince George during Wales visit
Kate Middleton gave a glimpse into family life and her evening plans while touring textile makers in West Wales
Catherine, The Princess of Wales blended work and family updates during a visit to West Wales textile manufacturers. Meeting artisans and exploring traditional fabrics, Kate also offered a brief update on her eldest son, Prince George, and shared her plans to spend the evening with her children, highlighting her hands-on approach to both royal duties and family life.
The Princess of Wales, 44, visited the picturesque landscapes of West Wales on Wednesday, touring textile manufacturers Melin Tregwynt and Hiut Denim.
Before departing, Kate greeted well-wishers outside the factory. When asked about Prince George, she said: "He’s doing very well, thank you. They are at school today and I am going to go back and see them this evening."
Kate, who is also mother to Princess Charlotte, ten, and Prince Louis, seven, briefly mentioned her health, replying to a well-wisher: “Thank you very much. This is good for my soul, meeting wonderful people."
During the visit, Kate explored the factory floor, learning about the history of the companies and even trying her hand at cutting and stitching a pair of jeans. She joked: "I love making things, so I think I would really enjoy making denims. The most adventurous I got was making a pair of pyjamas… and I don’t know where they have gone now."
She was presented with a pair of Mari jeans for herself and Hack denims for the Prince of Wales, responding: "He will love those."
Kate’s interest in fabrics and textiles has been ongoing, with previous visits to weaving mills across the UK, including Scotland, Carmarthenshire, Suffolk, Kent, and Co Tyrone, demonstrating her commitment to promoting British craftsmanship and heritage.
