Princess of Wales, 44, spent her Tuesday at Hiut Denim, a family-owned jeans manufacturer in Cardigan, making her mark—literally—on a pair of jeans for Prince William. Catherine stitched a “Made in Wales” label onto the trousers and, when handed the finished piece for the future King, she said: “He will love these.”

Kate, also received a pair of yet-to-be-released jeans for herself, adding to her personal collection. She got hands-on with the cutting process under the guidance of Claudio Belotti, a craftsman with over 50 years of experience, joking with staff about the “no pressure” of her task.

The Princess commented: “I love making things, so I think I would really enjoy making denims. The most adventurous I got was making a pair of pyjamas… and I don’t know where they have gone now.”

The visit also offered a glimpse into the Waleses’ family life. Kate met the factory’s English cocker spaniel, Barney, noting: “You are lovely!” and sharing with staff that the royal family owns the same breed—a puppy, eight months old, and Orla, five years old.

Following her hands-on activities, the future queen spoke with well-wishers outside the factory. Responding to a man who asked about her recovery, she said: “Thank you very much. This is good for my soul, meeting wonderful people.”

The mother-of-three, underwent abdominal surgery in January 2024 and revealed two months later that she was receiving preventative chemotherapy.

By September 2024, her treatment concluded, and in January 2025, she announced she had entered remission. This visit marks one of her first public engagements since resuming a full schedule, blending her love for craftsmanship with personal family moments.
