Savannah Guthrie makes desperate video plea for missing mother
Authorities believe 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie was snatched from her own home
Savannah Guthrie has shared a moving video plea alongside her siblings as the search for their missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, grows increasingly urgent.
The 84-year-old vanished from her home on Sunday, with police now confirming they believe she was "taken out of her home against her will."
In the heart-wrenching Instagram footage, the Today Show host addressed her mother's potential abductors directly, hoping to establish a line of communication.
"We need to know, without a doubt, that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us," Savannah said, her voice heavy with emotion.
The family’s concern is heightened by the fact that Nancy requires life-saving medication. Savannah also touched upon media reports regarding a ransom letter, stressing that the family is desperate to find a resolution.
"As a family, we are doing everything that we can. We are ready to talk," she added.
The local sheriff's office has confirmed that Nancy’s property was "equipped with several cameras," and specialist detectives are currently working to retrieve and analyse any available footage.
While the investigation remains ongoing, the Guthrie family is focused on one goal: bringing their matriarch home safely.
The sudden disappearance has sent shockwaves through the community, but Savannah remains steadfast in her appeal for contact. By speaking out publicly, the family hopes to ensure Nancy’s needs are met and that she is returned to them without delay.
