Music icon Barry Manilow has made the difficult decision to postpone his February residency dates in Las Vegas as he continues to recover from recent surgery.

On Wednesday, the 82-year-old singer announced that his shows at the Westgate Las Vegas, originally set for 12–21 February, will be rescheduled.

The "Copacabana" star underwent treatment in December to remove a cancerous spot from his left lung and is now following strict medical guidance to ensure he is fit for his upcoming farewell tour.

Sharing a heartening update on Instagram, Manilow struck an optimistic tone about his progress. “I’m doing great and recovering very well after my surgery.

I’ve been getting exercise and spending some time in the studio, which has been fantastic,” he shared.

However, he acknowledged the need for caution: “With my doctor’s guidance and recommendation, however, we have decided to postpone my residency... so I can stay focused on healing and getting ready for the tour.”

The legendary performer is still expected to kick off his arena tour in Tampa, Florida, on 27 February. Fans have flooded his social media with messages of support, urging him to take all the time he needs.

In his typical spirited fashion, Manilow noted that “having a few weeks to rest and prepare is what the doctor ordered!”

While the February residency dates are moving to late March, his final "The Last Frontier" tour remains the priority, ensuring the star is back to his best before saying goodbye to the big stage.
