'Peaky Blinders' producer Kudos backs Rem Conway’s Senti Films
Kudos has announced a strategic investment in Rem Conway’s indie, Senti Films
The producers behind Peaky Blinders have thrown their weight behind a rising star in British television. Kudos has made a significant investment in Senti Films, the independent production company led by Sex Education producer Rem Conway.
This partnership aims to bolster the creative landscape of the West Midlands, where Conway already serves as a development producer for the Kudos Knight hub in Birmingham.
Senti Films is hit the ground running, with one project already in funded development with a major broadcaster.
Conway, whose impressive credits include Riches and My Name is Leon, is dedicated to building a slate that highlights local, underrepresented voices across theatre, film, and TV.
He previously worked with Kudos Knight to option the play Bullring Techno Makeout Jamz.
Reflecting on the partnership, Conway said he is “ridiculously excited” about the investment.
He explained: “Senti was built to offer a creative home to talent where they are genuinely trusted, backed and given the freedom to be ambitious.”
He noted that too often, incredible voices are held back by a lack of support, adding, “Senti Films exists to actively push that change forward. Having Kudos on board is a huge vote of confidence.”
Martin Haines, co-boss of Kudos, described Conway as a “hugely talented producer.”
While Kudos continues to expand Steven Knight’s universe with House of Guinness and new seasons of Peaky Blinders, this investment ensures that fresh, regional perspectives remain at the heart of their mission.
