Chris Pratt reveals how he has made every day Valentine’s Day

Chris Pratt has opened up about how he has consistently celebrated love in his marriage, explaining that he has made a habit of treating every day like Valentine’s Day.

The 46-year-old actor, who has been married to Katherine Schwarzenegger since 2019, revealed that he approaches Valentine’s Day a little differently by treating every day like the holiday instead.

“Katherine is somebody who does not love to go out on Valentine’s Day,” Pratt told Extra. “She thinks it’s a little bit too busy out there, but that just means that every day that’s not Valentine’s Day, I have to treat like Valentine’s Day.”

The Guardians of the Galaxy star went on to offer some playful advice to other men as the holiday approaches, encouraging them not to wait for the calendar to dictate romance.

“Gentlemen, if you’re out there and you’re wondering what to do, don’t wait until Valentine’s Day,” he said. “Get in early. Do something that’s not Valentine’s Day. That’s when she least expects it.”

Pratt has previously spoken fondly about his first impressions of Schwarzenegger, recalling that he thought she was “really cute” the moment he saw her. 

He has also dismissed rumors that his mother-in-law, Maria Shriver, helped set the couple up.

“That’s actually not true,” Pratt said during an appearance on FOX & Friends. “I met my wife in church. I looked over and I saw her and I know you’re not supposed to be checking out girls at church, but I’m only human.”

The actor later joked on The Drew Barrymore Show that he was “sneaking glances” at his future wife during the service, admitting the moment caught him completely off guard.

Pratt has also described how quickly their relationship unfolded, crediting faith for bringing them together. “God has a fast-forward button,” he said. “

When it’s right, boom. You fall in love, you get married. Now we have two beautiful daughters.”
