Ugandan influencer Diana Skys found dead in apparent homicide

Diana Skys, the Ugandan lifestyle and fashion influencer known online as Dianah Namulinde, has been found dead in her apartment at the age of 24. 

Her body was discovered on February 4 in Kampala City after friends, worried about her absence, went to check on her and found the front door open, according to local reports from Daily Monitor and NBS Television.

Namulinde had amassed nearly 200,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok, sharing content that ranged from fashion and beauty to luxury travel. Her most recent post was made on February 3, just a day before her death.

Luke Owoyesigyire, deputy spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police, told local outlets that homicide detectives and crime scene officers documented the scene and collected multiple exhibits. 

Statements were also taken from relevant witnesses. Authorities have reportedly identified three suspects, with two already arrested. Among those in custody is a security guard allegedly found with suspected stolen items.

Namulinde’s body was sent to a mortuary for examination as the investigation continues. Galaxy FM reports that her funeral is scheduled for February 6.

Fans and followers have taken to social media to pay tribute to the late influencer. Comments on her final Instagram post included heartfelt messages such as, “Rest well,” “RIP,” and “Rest in heaven, dia, this is so sad and breaking.”
