Ella Langley is standing on the precipice of a rare achievement in country music. On Thursday, the 26-year-old took to Instagram to rally fans as her hit "Choosin' Texas" climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Trailing just behind Harry Styles, Langley noted the gravity of the moment, telling followers: “Y'all have put me in a position to do something only a few females in country music history have ever done.”

The track, co-written with country royalty Miranda Lambert, is fighting to join an elite group. Langley pointed out that “Less than 10 women in country music have gotten a #1 on Billboard.”

While legends like Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire have topped genre-specific charts, the Hot 100 is typically dominated by pop and rap, with only stars like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé reaching the summit.

Sharing a photo of a hug with Lambert, Langley gushed, “I know we can do it,” adding, “Let's do it for women & let's do it for country music.”

The bond between the two singers is growing into a powerhouse partnership. Lambert, who produced Langley’s upcoming album Dandelion (due 10 April), recently called Ella her “country music soul sister.”

As Langley prepares for a massive summer tour across the U.S., the potential history-making success of "Choosin' Texas" feels like the perfect launchpad. For Langley, this isn't just about a chart position; it’s about proving that country women belong at the very top of the global stage.
