Adam Devine unveils NFL star with 'stunning' voice before 2026 Super Bowl
'Pitch Perfect' star showcased his cappella talents in surprise pop-up performance
Adam Devine experienced a surprising moment during an unplanned a cappella show in San Francisco just before the Super Bowl LX.
The Pitch Perfect star, aged 42, collaborated with NFL players George Kittle, Bijan Robinson, and Jordan Mailata for a lively musical pop-up at San Francisco's famous Ferry Building.
Although Devine was eager for the performance, he didn't foresee the impressive vocal talents of one athlete.
“Jordan Mailata has an incredible voice,” Devine shares with PEOPLE about the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive tackle. “He's 6'8", 360 pounds—a massive presence. And then he sings with such beauty—it really floors you.”
“I had to follow his singing,” Devine jokes. “It was a mess, but thoroughly fun.”
The event finalised Marriott Bonvoy’s Keysakes campaign, which offered members an extraordinary opportunity to stay overnight inside Levi’s Stadium right before the 2026 Super Bowl.
Annually, the brand turns a luxury suite at the event’s stadium into an operable hotel room.
Celebrating its 10th year, Devine—Marriott Bonvoy's official “Fanbassador”—revealed the winner uniquely: by performing a song. Alongside NFL stars, they performed an a cappella version of Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger.”
“We attempted some choreography, which we all kind of messed up, but it was hilarious,” Devine laughs. “It was a joy. I completely forgot the words and just improvised.”
When the stars showed up for the surprise event, the Workaholics actor notes that observers were “freaking out,” though not for him.
Devine mentions that in recent times, Kittle has become a “friend” of his. Despite his torn Achilles, Kittle still joined the event in a wheelchair to stand by his friend, humourously portraying the Modern Family alum with a photo of Devine’s face attached to Kittle’s boot.
Super Bowl LX will be broadcast live on NBC and streamed on Peacock on Sunday, (February 8), from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
