Travis Kelce is blaming his fiancée, Taylor Swift’s homemade bread for a recent mishap and his weight gain.

On a new episode of Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, the 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end admitted that he packed on the pounds thanks to Swift’s love for baking.

“Hi, I’m Travis Kelce, Kylie Kelce’s brother-in-law,” he joked at the start of the clip shared to Instagram Thursday, Feb. 5. “And I’m not gonna lie. I broke Taylor’s chair with the weight I gained from her sourdough.”

Despite the chair incident, Kelce praised Swift’s bread for promoting “good gut health,” prompting laughter from Kylie Kelce, who called it “true love.”

Swift, 36, has long shared her love of baking. Last January, she gifted homemade sourdough loaves to friends including the Haim sisters.

She also appeared on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast in August 2025, joking about her ongoing baking “obsessions.”

“We’re very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life,” Swift admitted. She revealed she doesn’t just make classic sourdough, but also blueberry lemon, cinnamon swirl and cinnamon raisin variations. Travis added, “I am the luckiest man in the world.”

The couple announced their engagement on Instagram days after the podcast appearance.

While Swift handles the bread for their upcoming wedding, Kelce said he’s in charge of the beer.

At a Super Bowl party for the New Heights podcast on Feb. 4, he told TMZ that their reception will feature plenty of beer from Garage Beer, the company he co-owns with his brother Jason. “Man, I can’t even count that high,” he quipped.

Swift and Kelce’s whirlwind romance continues to capture headlines.
