Bones producer Barry Josephson breaks silence over Jeffrey Epstein ties
Barry Josephson admitted to taking multiple loans from Jeffrey Epstein
Barry Josephson, the high-profile executive producer of Bones, has issued a heartfelt apology after being named in the latest release of Jeffrey Epstein documents.
The files, made public by the Justice Department, exposed a years-long friendship involving financial loans and uncomfortably familiar correspondence.
Addressing the fallout, Josephson told Variety: “There’s no excuse for what I said in some of my emails. The language was crude and juvenile, and I’m ashamed.”
The documents reveal that Josephson, a former Columbia Pictures president, borrowed over $330,000 from Epstein in 2011 and 2012 to settle personal debts.
Despite Epstein’s 2008 conviction, the pair stayed in touch until 2018. Emails showed them bantering about "attractive" women, with Epstein attempting to use the connection to secure Hollywood roles for his circle.
Reflecting on his past choices, Josephson expressed deep remorse for being swayed by Epstein’s powerful network.
“While I did attend social events with Epstein, and he did visit my sets twice, I never traveled with him on his plane, visited his island, or saw him in the company of minors,” he clarified.
He admitted that his "biggest regret, bar none, is that I foolishly believed his denials of wrongdoing."
Claiming he was "blinded" by Epstein’s social standing, the producer concluded: “I apologize to all who were hurt by this clearly terrible and depraved individual.”
It serves as a stark reminder of how easily the glitz of the elite can mask a darker reality, leaving behind a trail of regret and broken trust.
