Hip-hop star Cardi B has stirred up speculation about a possible breakup with her child's father, Stefon Diggs.
The NFL player with a notorious reputation, who is with the New England Patriots, faced defeat during the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
Fans quickly noticed they had stopped following each other on Instagram after his Super Bowl loss.
Adding to the drama, the New England Patriots wide receiver is facing charges for strangulation, a felony, and misdemeanor assault linked to an alleged incident last December.
Diggs has firmly denied the charges of felony strangulation/suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery, according to his lawyer, David Meier.
Stefon is set to appear at Dedham District Court in Massachusetts this Friday at 9am local time to submit a formal plea.
The court session, meant for entering a plea, was postponed allowing him to participate in the Super Bowl.
On Friday, the judge will determine conditions for Diggs' release while awaiting trial. The judge might consider bail, impose travel limitations, or issue a no-contact order.
The woman, whose identity has been kept private, worked for Diggs as a personal chef and filed a police report on December 16, weeks following the supposed incident.
