Max George hospitalised, shares ER photo after heart surgery

Max George from The Wanted has been urgently taken to the hospital once again following an unexpected visit last month.

The 37-year-old musician shared very early on Tuesday that he was taken to the emergency room, posting a photo from the hospital. This comes a year after having a pacemaker installed.

"What is happening now?" Max wrote.

"These things always occur in the middle of the night."

He concluded by mentioning: "Poor Albert," referring to his beloved Pitbull. Max later posted a selfie captioned: "Feeling HOT."

Last month, Max surprised fans by revealing he needed hospital tests after multiple heart surgeries.

Previously, Max had an urgent heart procedure following a pacemaker insertion in 2024.

During a recent hospital visit shared on Instagram, Max said: "I’m back where my heart procedures took place. It’s not pleasant to return."

"I recently had a chest scan because of some lung concerns.

In September 2025, he reported returning to the hospital and waiting five hours before being seen.

Last year, The Wanted star told The Sun he underwent another secret operation after pacemaker wires were inserted too deeply.

Doctors warned him he might lose his singing ability, prompting a lung biopsy to investigate health issues.

Max gained popularity in The Wanted alongside Nathan Sykes, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, and the late Tom Parker.

The band faced immense sorrow when their bandmate passed away in March 2022 after a courageous struggle with brain cancer.

Former Strictly contestant Max is now dating award-winning EastEnders actress Maisie Smith.
