Trix Vivier of South Africa joins Nevername Artists Agency
Her film 'The Trek' is set to premiere globally during Directors’ Week at Fantasporto festival in Portugal
South African actress Trix Vivier has joined Nevername Artists Agency (NAA).
This announcement follows her role in The Trek, a collaboration between South Africa and Germany for Prime Video.
At NAA, she becomes part of a diverse group of international and often multilingual artists from the US, Europe, and the Middle East, alongside talents like Saja Kilani, Motaz Malhees, and Amer Hlehel, stars of the Oscar-nominated film The Voice of Hind Rajab.
Vivier's work history includes the Showmax Afrikaans comedy Khaki Fever, Netflix films Umjolo: Day Ones and Umjolo: There Is No Cure, as well as the Cinemax and HBO series Trackers.
The actress, twice honored with Best Actress nominations at South Africa’s Silwerskerm Film and Television Festival, is currently residing in Dubai.
Her recent film, The Trek, is set to premiere globally during Directors’ Week at the Fantasporto festival in Portugal and will also be featured in the Joburg Film Festival competition.
Under the direction of Meekaëel Adam, marking his debut feature, The Trek is co-written and produced by James C. Williamson (Fried Barry).
This horror-Western narrative revolves around a settler family navigating the hazardous Kalahari Desert in the mid-1800s, featuring Vivier alongside Morné Visser (The Kissing Booth series).
The film is produced by the Department of Special Projects, with Prime Video securing sub-Saharan African distribution rights and Global Constellation responsible for international sales.
