Zayn Malik spoils daughter Khai with $500 for her first tooth

Zayn Malik has revealed just how much he loves spoiling his daughter Khai.

The former One Direction singer, 33, shared on the February 11 episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy that he gave his 5-year-old daughter a whopping $500 when she lost her first tooth. 

Khai, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, celebrated the milestone in style thanks to her pop-star dad.

“It’s everything,” Malik told Cooper. “I’m raising her in an environment that isn’t the same as everybody else’s. Her dad is a pop star, her mom is a model, and certain things that she does in life might not always reflect what other people understand as reality. So I think I gave her a bit too much money from the Tooth Fairy.”

When Cooper asked how much he gave, Malik responded with a grin, “$500.”

He explained that Hadid wasn’t entirely on board with the generous gift. “It’s her first tooth, and her mom gave me s--t about it,” he said. 

“But at the end of the day, I worked my ass off, and I should be able to give my kid what I want to give her.”

Malik added a playful caveat about future teeth: “But then what’s gonna happen with the second one?” he joked. “That one’s $5.”

The singer also revealed that he plans to keep and frame Khai’s first tooth, calling it a special keepsake.

Reflecting on his approach to parenting, Malik admitted that part of the motivation is giving Khai experiences he didn’t have as a child. 

“People look at it a certain way, but I was lucky if I got anything from my teeth,” he said. “I’ve worked really hard for everything I’ve earned, so I don’t feel like I should have to answer for these things.”
