Apple set to launch affordable iPhone 17e with upgraded siri
The iPhone 17e follows last year’s iPhone 16e, offering a lower-cost alternative
Apple is preparing to unveil a more budget-friendly version of its iPhone 17, the iPhone 17e, featuring an upgraded Siri assistant, according to Bloomberg.
The iPhone 17e follows last year’s iPhone 16e, offering a lower-cost alternative without compromising performance.
The new model will include a more powerful processor, matching the standard iPhone 17, along with Apple’s proprietary cellular and Wi-Fi chips.
For the first time in the “e” series, MagSafe wireless charging will also be included, adding convenience for users.
Despite these enhancements, the iPhone 17e is expected to retain the $599 price point in the U.S. (£599 in the U.K.), maintaining its appeal as an affordable option.
Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup, unveiled in September 2025, already includes the standard iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, all featuring upgraded cameras and design improvements.
The event also introduced the iPhone Air, Apple’s thinnest iPhone yet at just 5.6mm, part of the company’s ongoing multi-year redesign strategy.
In addition, Apple showcased the Apple Watch Series 11, offering 5G connectivity, new health-monitoring features, and satellite functionality for the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
The entry-level Apple Watch SE 3 received updates, including an always-on display, faster processor, and 5G support, starting at $249.
