Elon Musk has claimed the top spot on Forbes’ newly released “Innovator 250” list, which recognises the most influential innovators in the United States. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang secured the fifth position on the ranking.

According to Forbes, Musk stands out as the only individual in history to have founded or built five separate companies from the ground up, each now valued in the billions of dollars across different industries.

These companies include Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, xAI and The Boring Company, spanning electric vehicles, space exploration, brain-computer interfaces, artificial intelligence (AI) and infrastructure development.

The top 10 innovators on the list include Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, George Lucas, Jensen Huang, Sam Altman, Phil Knight, Martine Rothblatt, Ted Turner and Vinod Khosla.

After a social media user shared the ranking on X (formerly Twitter), Musk responded briefly, writing, “Cool.”

Forbes credited Bezos, who ranked second, with reshaping retail through Amazon and advancing cloud computing with Amazon Web Services.

Gates placed third for launching the personal computing revolution and later focusing on global philanthropy.

Lucas ranked fourth for transforming Hollywood with Star Wars and pioneering film technology advancements.

Huang earned recognition for positioning Nvidia at the center of the AI boom through early investments in parallel computing.

The recognition comes as Musk continues to dominate global wealth rankings, with Bloomberg estimating his net worth at roughly $849.2 billion.
