Italian supermodel Bianca Balti is marking a poignant milestone in her health journey. One year after completing her final round of chemotherapy for stage 3C ovarian cancer, the 41-year-old is celebrating her "resilient" new hair.

In a moving Instagram update on 28 January, Balti reflected on the transformation of her locks since shaving her head in October 2024.

"It grew back thicker and way curlier than it ever was before. It’s wild, pretty unmanageable, and I love it more than I can explain," she shared.

For Balti, these curls are more than just a style; they are a symbol of strength. "These are my cute, resilient little hairs.

They remind me every day that my body survived," she continued, urging her followers never to take their own hair for granted.

The model’s battle began in September 2024 when a trip to the ER for abdominal pain led to a life-altering diagnosis.

Despite the "fear, pain and tears," she maintained a defiant presence in the fashion world, appearing at the Sanremo Music Festival and the Vanity Fair Oscar party with a striking shaved head.

She even made a bold bid for the Victoria's Secret runway to prove that life continues after hardship.

Reflecting on her refusal to "cut and run" from challenges, she wrote in an essay: "Cancer taught me that life is too short not to try and that trying never kills you." Today, she stands as a beacon of hope for her daughters and fans alike.
