Taylor Swift reveals bts of 'hysterical' ‘Opalite’ video shoot
The 'Willow' hitmaker unveiled a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot on her Instagram
Taylor Swift invites her fans to see the behind-the-scenes magic of her star-studded “Opalite” music video!
On Friday (Februay 13), mere days after launching the 90s-themed video on February 7, the 36-year-old unveiled a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot on her Instagram.
“Not forgetting a single detail of this fun-filled shoot is my goal, and now it’s possible!” Swift wrote, expressing her joy about sharing more glimpses of the music video through “two elongated versions packed with dance practices, unexpected cameos, camcorder shots, plus a parade of giant scrunchies & fanny pack perspectives!”
“Parts 1 & 2 are available now via the link in my bio,” Swift shared.
In the amusing photos, Swift — alongside video co-stars Domhnall Gleeson and Graham Norton — appeared amazed while watching scenes from the shoot on an iPad with cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, who directed the video.
The picture was captured from a moment in the video where Norton appears as the merchant of ‘Nope-Alite,’ which counters "Opalite"—an alternate spray portrayed as a “miraculous solution for your woes” at the video's onset.
The whimsical video kicks off with a promotional segment for "Opalite" spray, a product that promises to transform life's "failures into joy."
Additional photos displayed Swift and Gleeson in matching sequin tracksuits for their comedic dance sequence, including scenes of the pair filming on a mall escalator.
The mall featured in the video is an actual, somewhat dilapidated mall located in Croydon, England, which was revamped into a nostalgic fantasy for the production.
Swift was also seen crafting the cootie catcher from the video, while she and Gleeson burst into laughter over something on an iPad in their matching outfits, and posing playfully during the photography scene with Prieto.
In addition to Gleeson and Norton, the video also stars Lewis Capaldi, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, and includes a surprise cameo by Cillian Murphy.
Swift conceived the video idea while guesting on The Graham Norton Show alongside the stars on the same day her latest album was released, Oct. 3, 2025.
