Nutritionist reveals five essential spices that help scorch body fat
Cayenne pepper is highlighted for its ability to reduce appetite and boost metabolism
Ditch the "magic pills" and look no further than your kitchen cupboard. Zib Atkins, a UK-based nutritionist, has revealed that five common spices could be the secret to supercharging your fat loss.
In a recent guide titled '5 spices to burn fat', Zib explained that while these aren't instant miracles, they are "great tools to assist you on your journey" by triggering natural metabolic processes.
The expert identifies cayenne pepper, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, and black pepper as the heavy hitters for weight management.
Cayenne helps boost metabolism and curb hunger, while cinnamon helps manage insulin spikes that lead to fat storage.
“Next, salon cinnamon. This actually controls your blood sugar and stops the insulin spikes that store fat,” Zib noted.
Ginger is praised for its thermogenic properties, effectively increasing the number of calories the body burns throughout the day.
The list continues with turmeric, which uses curcumin to improve insulin sensitivity, and black pepper, containing piperine to hinder the creation of new fat cells.
Despite these biological benefits, Zib remains grounded in science, reminding followers that the laws of thermodynamics still apply.
“Just remember, they aren't magic. You do still need to put in the work and be in a calorie deficit if you're trying to burn fat,” he warned.
By focusing on these plant-based metabolic activators, you can create a more efficient environment for weight loss, ensuring your body burns fuel more effectively while you maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
