Attorney general Pam Bondi confirms full release of Jeffrey Epstein files
The released list includes political figures, government officials, and others referenced in the files
Attorney General Pam Bondi has said the Justice Department has released all records related to Jeffrey Epstein in compliance with a transparency law passed last year, including a list of more than 300 names referenced in the materials.
In a letter to Congress, Bondi wrote that the department disclosed all “records, documents, communications, and investigative materials” in its possession tied to Epstein and additional categories outlined under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
The release also includes the names of government officials and politically exposed persons mentioned at least once in the documents.
Bondi cautioned that individuals appear in varying contexts, from direct email contact with Epstein or his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, to incidental mentions in press clippings included in investigative files.
The list does not provide details about the nature of each reference.
Lawmakers pushing for broader disclosure, including Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), argued the release remains incomplete, citing concerns over redactions and the withholding of internal deliberative materials.
The Justice Department has said it remains committed to complying with the law while protecting privileged information.
