Jonathan Scott jokes he’s ‘dating up’ in heartfelt tribute to Zooey Deschanel

Jonathan Scott is feeling grateful this Valentine’s Day — and he’s not shy about saying so.

The 47-year-old TV star shared a heartfelt tribute to his fiancée, Zooey Deschanel, posting a carousel of sweet photos on Instagram. 

The images showed the couple smiling together, gazing into each other’s eyes and enjoying candid moments from their relationship.

“Yeah…I know I’m dating up. Why do people feel they have to keep reminding me Happy Valentine’s Day, Zooey,” he wrote in the caption.

One of the photos appears to have been taken shortly after Scott proposed during a family trip to Scotland in August 2023. 

Other snapshots included a playful image of Scott holding a pink flower in his mouth while Deschanel smiled behind him.

Deschanel, 46, also marked the occasion with her own Instagram post, sharing a collection of photos from their six-year relationship. “Valentine,” she captioned the images. Scott responded in the comments with a red heart emoji.

The couple first met in 2019 while filming an episode of Carpool Karaoke hosted by James Corden. After four years of dating, Scott proposed in 2023.

Despite their engagement, the pair have said they are not rushing to plan their wedding. 

In a December interview, Deschanel explained, "It's more exploratory. We're not in a rush because we've been together so long, so it's not like we're like, 'We gotta get married.' I'd rather find the right place, the right place and situation, so that it's really special and fun."

Scott echoed those sentiments in a separate interview, saying, "I think we want to have a warm wedding and haven't figured out where that's going to be yet."
