Zendaya calls caring for her dog the ultimate Hollywood indulgence
The 'Euphoria' star admits her over-the-top care for her dog is more indulgent than red carpets
Zendaya may be one of Hollywood’s most high-profile stars, but she says the most “Hollywood” thing about her life is surprisingly down-to-earth: her dog, Noon.
In an interview with Robert Pattinson for Interview Magazine, published Tuesday, the 29-year-old Euphoria star was asked to name the one thing about her life that feels quintessentially Hollywood and might even embarrass her.
“I’d say quintessential Hollywood s--- is probably how I am with my dog,” Zendaya said. “They get their fancy meals with the vitamin supplements. It sounds very ridiculous when I talk about it, but I love my child.”
She added with a laugh, “That’s probably the most ridiculous Hollywood thing about me, how my dog be living.”
Despite the luxurious care she showers on Noon, Zendaya emphasized that she has remained grounded amid her fame.
Most of her closest friends are family members or people she’s known “since I was literally born,” she said, keeping her inner circle tight and familiar.
In recent years, Zendaya has also found comfort connecting with other actors, like Pattinson, whose work she admires.
“I feel like over the past couple of years, I’ve been able to make friends with other actors… and be like, ‘Does this life also feel so strange to you guys?’ And be like, ‘Oh, yeah. I’m not the only one that feels that way,’” she explained.
Even when she vents about the oddities of her Hollywood life, Zendaya said those complaints often make sense within that circle.
Still, the most indulgent and “ridiculous” part of her lifestyle isn’t the red carpets or designer gowns it’s making sure Noon is living like royalty.
