Entrepreneur and professional boxer Jake Paul says he picked up an unexpected lesson in productivity from Sam Altman: the value of a 15-minute meeting.

Speaking on the “Sourcery” podcast, Paul recalled meeting the OpenAI CEO while seated next to him at President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Bonding over a shared interest in fast cars, the two struck up a conversation that eventually evolved into a professional relationship.

Paul’s venture firm, Anti Fund — co-led by his brother Logan Paul and entrepreneur Geoffrey Woo — invested in OpenAI in 2025.

Since then, Paul said he has been inspired by Altman’s meeting style.

According to Paul, Altman runs highly focused sessions that begin immediately and wrap up within 15 minutes if possible.

The OpenAI chief has long advocated for shorter meetings, writing in a 2018 blog post that 15 to 20 minutes — or, alternatively, two hours — are ideal, while the traditional one-hour meeting is “usually wrong.”

Beyond investing, Paul has also collaborated with OpenAI on projects including the launch of Sora 2, consulting on social media strategy and lending his name and likeness to promotional memes.

Anti Fund, which closed a $30 million fund in September, has also backed defense-tech startup Anduril Industries and prediction platform Polymarket.
