Apple is reportedly developing a trio of AI-powered wearables as it races to compete with other tech giants in the smart-device market.

According to Bloomberg, the lineup includes an AI pendant roughly the size of an AirTag, which can be pinned to clothing and features built-in cameras. The pendant was first reported by The Information last month.

The Cupertino-based tech giant is also accelerating the development of its AI-powered smart glasses, code-named N50.

The glasses are expected to include a high-resolution camera and will offer a “more upscale and feature-rich” experience compared with the AI pendant and Apple’s AI-enabled AirPods.

Bloomberg reported that Apple is targeting production to start as early as December, ahead of a potential public release in 2027.

In addition, Apple is reportedly working on AI-enhanced AirPods, designed to integrate tightly with the iPhone and leverage Siri, the company’s virtual assistant, as a core component of the user experience.

Apple faces competition in this space from companies including Meta Platforms, which has established a presence in smart glasses, and Snap Inc., which plans to release its own “Specs” later this year.

All three devices are part of Apple’s broader effort to expand its wearable ecosystem with AI-driven functionality, connecting seamlessly to iPhones and enhancing user interaction.
