Hilary Duff reveals why she turned to crocheting

Hilary Duff is diving into a new pastime!

The pop star, 38, revealed in a discussion with i-D published on Wednesday (February 18) that she’s embraced crocheting. She mentioned that after one performance, in particular, she turned to the craft.

When asked about what she considers cool, Duff responded, "An early night with solid rest. Or a facial. I’ve also started crocheting."

The "Mature" musician mentioned that following a recent performance "my body was signaling I needed to keep my hands busy, so I did."

"So far, I have created a hat and a scarf," she added.

Duff, who gained fame as the lead in the show Lizzie McGuire in 2001, also reflected on her broad career during the interview.

"I’m very content with where I’ve ended up," she mentioned. "I’ve experienced numerous ups and downs in my career, and not every moment was out in the open."

"However, there have been moments of real fear thinking I might not find work again, or question whether anyone cared. I’d probably say no more often than I did and trust in things. I also prioritised my family. I’d endure all the quiet spells and the absence of phone calls for them," the singer shared.

Duff’s sixth studio album, luck... or something, hits the shelves on Friday (February 20). She will subsequently kick off the Lucky Me Tour to promote the album.

The former Disney star's album boasts executive production by her husband Matthew Koma. He also co-wrote her debut single in a decade, "Mature."

The "Come Clean" vocalist discussed the tracks in a feature interview with Glamour earlier this month.

“It’s definitely connected to a romantic experience I had. Brief, with someone older, and while not illegal, it raises eyebrows once enough time has passed," she explained.
