Hailey Bieber gives rare update on son Jack Blues with Justin Bieber

Hailey Bieber is unveiling a personal update about parenthood in an episode of influencer Jake Shane's podcast Therapuss.

Hailey, 29, discussed her son, Jack Blues Bieber, whom she shares with her husband Justin Bieber. 

Jack, now 16 months old, has started chattering a lot. When Shane, 26, inquired about what he talks about, Hailey shared, "So he talks a lot about basketball."

"He says basketball constantly," Hailey mentioned. "When I went to wake him from his nap today, he instantly said 'basketball'. It's just wild. Quite amusing."

"He's also begun saying please. He'd long known how to sign please. So if I asked him to 'say please', he would perform the gesture for please," Hailey said as she demonstrated the American Sign Language for "please."

Jack Blues made his debut in August 2024. Following the announcement of Jack’s arrival, a source shared with PEOPLE, “They're both ecstatic. The baby is an absolute blessing. He’s truly adorable and thriving. The pregnancy was something they fervently hoped and prayed for.”

In her Therapuss discussion, Hailey remarked about being a parent, "It's incredibly enjoyable. I've always wanted children, always aspired to be a mom. Once it happens, it’s something you can't fully prepare for. And truly, it's a delightful experience."

When Shane asked her about something unexpected that no one forewarned her about, Hailey answered, "There are numerous unknowns until you're in the moment. Something surprising for me was realising I'm more laid-back as a mother than anticipated. Especially as a first-time parent."

Hailey additionally expressed her desire to grow her family.

“I absolutely want another child," she remarked, continuing, "I'm not in a hurry, but I certainly want at least one more. Perhaps I'll have four more. Maybe three. Honestly, I have no idea. Just taking life one day at a time.”
