Kylie Kelce shares hilarious story about husband’s infamous mullet era

Kylie Kelce has shared the real reason she pleaded with her husband, retired Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, to cut his mullet and it all came down to a major life milestone.

The 33-year-old mom of four opened up on a recent episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast, recalling that Jason’s now-infamous hairstyle coincided with the birth of their first child, daughter Wyatt, in October 2019.

“He had the mullet around the birth of Wyatt,” Kylie said. “The reason I know that is because I begged and pleaded for him to no longer have the mullet in the photos with our first child.” 

She added with a laugh, “You guessed it. There's a mullet in the photos with our first child's birth.”

Kylie has previously expressed her mixed feelings about Jason’s hairstyle choices. 

On the Sept. 18 episode of her podcast, she discussed her favorite and least favorite looks he’s worn over the years, noting that he initially had long hair and a man bun when they first started dating.

“He chose to cut it on his own,” Kylie explained. “A bunch of people thought that he cut it because of me and he did not. 

He actually cut it because he couldn’t comfortably put his head back on the sofa. I’ll tell you what he looked very good with a man bun.”

While she appreciates the man bun, Kylie revealed that she has a special fondness for a fade haircut, which she thinks suits him best.

However, there is one style she truly didn’t love. “I will say the one, which we were already married, the one haircut he knows that I came very close to shaving his head in his sleep,” she admitted. 

“Full transparency was the mullet. I swear he did it to f--- with me. But, he kinda made it look good.”
