Brooke Candy announces split from husband Kyle England after 7 years together

Brooke Candy is embracing a bold new chapter in her life, stepping confidently into singlehood and celebrating her divorce as the start of what she calls a “new magical life.”

The 35-year-old rapper has officially divorced tattoo artist Kyle England after seven years together, confirming the split with a celebratory message on Instagram.

“Omg you guys I’m officially divorced!!!! Woooooooo can’t wait for my new magical life,” she wrote.

The former couple tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2019 after first meeting when Candy booked England for a tattoo appointment. 

Over the years, the pair collaborated creatively and professionally. England most recently directed the music video for Candy’s track “Swans,” a collaboration with producer Coucou Chloe. 

No official reason for the split has been publicly disclosed. Following her announcement, Candy received support from fans in the comments section, with one writing that she was “too cool for any man.” 

The rapper responded candidly, reflecting on her sexuality and past relationship.

“Agreed and tbh I’m a dyke so I don’t know why I wasted so much time in a hetero relationship,” she wrote.

Candy first publicly came out as pansexual in 2014, telling HungerTV at the time, “I'm a feminist, I'm young and I'm gay (though I've now come to the conclusion that I feel more pansexual). I feel like I'm awakening to this new stage of consciousness but my message will always be the same.”

On Instagram Stories this week, she doubled down on her fresh start, declaring she is “single and ready to mingle.”
