Avan Jogia has reflected on the constant source of calm in his life, revealing that the greatest gift of his relationship with fiancée Halsey is having a partner who not only shares his artistic world but understands it completely.

The 34-year-old actor, who confirmed his engagement to Halsey (born Ashley Frangipane) in September 2024, stars opposite Dove Cameron in the new psychological thriller series 56 Days

The project marks one of his most significant roles in recent years, and he credits his partner’s support as a key part of navigating the intensity of the shoot.

“Being able to have a partner to come home to and talk about just the frustrations of creativity, and just how hard it is to create, is such a joy,” Jogia told People

“There are some things about your life that are sacred and normal and essential to your core.”

For Jogia, having someone who understands the emotional demands of performing is invaluable, especially when filming a dark, high-stakes drama.

In 56 Days, he plays Oliver, who embarks on a whirlwind romance that spirals after a dead body is discovered in the couple’s apartment.

Jogia said the shared artistic language he has with Halsey is what makes their bond especially meaningful.

“It sort of completes the circle for me, as an artist, just to have somebody that you can come home to and be able to work out your day with,” he explained. “I mean, this is the joy.”

That sentiment extends to his co-star Cameron, who is engaged to musician Damiano David. Because both women are artists themselves, Jogia said, there’s a rare level of mutual understanding.

“We have the ability to come home, and they get it,” he said. “Which is so rare.”

At the Los Angeles premiere of 56 Days, Jogia also shared an update on wedding planning with Halsey.

The couple, who went public with their relationship in 2023, are taking things at their own pace.

“We’re not in any rush to do anything specific at any specific timeline other than our own,” he said. “We’re really lucky. We get to enjoy each stage of our lives.”

Though their schedules remain packed, Jogia said he’s excited about what lies ahead.

“We’re just so busy. But yeah, absolutely. I’m so excited. It’s going to be great.”

Earlier this month, Halsey marked Jogia’s birthday with a heartfelt Instagram tribute, calling him “fiercely intelligent” and “annoyingly likable,” and writing that she feels “blessed” to spend her life with him.
