Jill Basinger becomes partner at Stris & Maher LLP, heads Media, Entertainment, and Sports Litigation

Esteemed media and entertainment attorney Jill Basinger has become part of Stris & Maher LLP to head its Media, Entertainment and Sports Litigation section located in the Los Angeles office. 

She intends to utilise the firm's extensive network to cater to client needs across the country.

Basinger served over ten years as a partner at Glaser Weil LLP, where she handled legal matters for actors, producers, broadcasters, journalists, screenwriters, financiers, agents, and agencies.

Collaborating closely with trial attorney Patty Glaser, Basinger has represented entertainment and business icons including Snoop Dogg, Keith Olbermann, ICM, and PIMCO’s Bill Gross. 

Her expertise covers defamation, contracts, commission and profit disputes, publicity and privacy rights, intellectual property, employee movement, and sensitive internal investigations, often involving high-profile public exposure.

There, she crafted the legal strategy for the enterprise and provided guidance on intricate litigation, corporate governance, major transactions, and compliance issues.
