Megan Thee Stallion hints at wedding plans while celebrating Olympic couple’s proposal
Megan shares that she is 'manifesting' her own special day while congratulating the newly engaged Olympian
Megan Thee Stallion is looking ahead to wedding bells. The Grammy-winning rapper, 31, revealed she is “manifesting” her own engagement while celebrating the newly announced proposal of Team USA stars Brittany Bowe and Hilary Knight.
During a YouTube short filmed at a restaurant in Milan following the 2026 Winter Olympics, Megan congratulated the couple, who shared their engagement news on Feb. 18, before sweetly admitting she hopes to follow suit.
“I love love, that’s so sweet,” she said, crossing her fingers as she watched a clip of Knight’s proposal to Bowe. “I’m manifesting my engagement too.”
The heartfelt moment was shared alongside fellow Team USA hockey star Leila Edwards, as the group collectively gushed over the romantic milestone. Knight and Bowe first met while competing at the 2022 Beijing Olympics and recently made their engagement public on social media.
Megan’s hopeful outlook comes amid her relationship with Dallas Mavericks player Thompson, 36, whom she first stepped out with publicly at her inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City in July 2025. At the event, she described the four-time NBA champion as the “nicest person I’ve ever met in my life.”
Speaking recently about this stage of her life, Megan said she has embraced what she calls her “comfy” era.
“I don't never want to tell [anybody] to just jump in a relationship just because everybody else got one,” she explained. “I didn't even know I was going to be in my relationship, to be honest.”
Instead, she shared that love found her when she prioritized her own well-being.
“I had been going to therapy, I had a bunch of activities that I started doing for myself; maybe God just opened up that space for me to have somebody that loved me right,” she said. “This is one of the first times that I've ever been just overly comfortable. I’m comfy, babe!”
Megan’s playful declaration about “manifesting” an engagement may not be entirely new. As far back as 2011, she tweeted that she was “marrying an athlete for sure,” adding, “maybe a football player… but most likely a basketball player.”
Now, more than a decade later, the Houston-born entrepreneur appears to be living out that vision and possibly inching closer to another milestone.
