Tim Howard demands public apology from 'Love is Blind' star Alex Henderson

Football legend Tim Howard has hit back at Love is Blind contestant Alex Henderson after being branded a "weirdo" on the hit Netflix show.

Henderson, a former goalkeeper who once harboured hopes of a top-tier professional career, made the disparaging remarks while attempting to impress fellow contestant Ashley Carpenter.

During their conversation, Henderson also bizarrely claimed that David Beckham was "not even good," a comment that has raised eyebrows across the sporting world.

Responding on his podcast, Unfiltered Soccer, the 46-year-old USMNT icon took the high road while issuing a firm ultimatum.

"You can issue a public apology and I'll accept it in advance," Howard said, before adding a warning: "If not, then I'll have more things to say about you. So we'll leave it there."

Howard’s co-host, Landon Donovan, was less reserved, labelling Henderson an "idiot" for using such insults as a dating tactic.

Henderson, who moved into finance after his football aspirations were cut short by four knee surgeries, described his fall in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft as the "worst day of my life."

Despite his bitterness toward the sport, Howard admitted he remains a fan of the reality series, noting he has seen almost every season.

Whether Henderson will offer the requested apology remains to be seen, but the veteran goalkeeper clearly isn't finished with the conversation just yet.

For now, the ball is firmly in the reality star's court as fans wait to see if he will retract his spicy claims.
