As Martin Short grieves the loss of his daughter Katherine Elizabeth Short, he is stepping away from his comedy performances with his long-time friend, Steve Martin.

The duo’s February 27 performance at Milwaukee’s Miller High Life Theatre for the The Best of Steve Martin & Martin Short tour has been delayed, along with two shows on February 28 in Minneapolis.

“Owing to unexpected circumstances, the Steve Martin & Martin Short performance set for Friday, February 27 in Milwaukee has been delayed,” states a notice on the venue’s website.

“Tickets will be valid for a future date once rescheduled. We will provide updates when more information becomes available.”

The next scheduled event still set to proceed is on Friday (March 13), at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington DC.

Following a response from the Los Angeles Fire Department to a call in a Hollywood Hills residence, which the LAPD confirmed involved a possible suicide, Katherine’s family announced her passing.

“We are heartbroken to confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short,” Katherine's family expressed previously in a statement to People.

“The Short family is shattered by this loss and requests privacy during this period. Katherine was cherished by all and will be remembered for the brightness and happiness she brought into the world.”

Short and his late wife, Nancy Dolman, who passed in 2010 due to ovarian cancer, adopted three children: Katherine, Oliver, and Henry.
